CB Passive Income License Program 4.0 is a product developed and launched by Patric Chan in 2017 as a tool to supposedly help newbie internet marketers make money online on autopilot. According to Patric Chan, this program gives you access to the internet marketing infrastructure he uses to promote Clickbank’s digital products. So in essence, you are cloning his time-tested internet marketing strategies when you buy the program. But in reality, that cannot be further from the truth.

CB Passive Income promises to help you earn affiliate commissions without going through the trouble of creating a website, creating content, marketing, and all the hard work generally related to success in the affiliate marketing landscape. The only task you need to accomplish is giving out his free digital courses, and in return, Patric will cover every other aspect of your affiliate marketing business. What this means is that Patric will work for you free of charge when you help him give out his free digital products.

The goal of the gift is to build a mailing list. When you give away his free courses, it is hoped that the recipient will opt into an email list. Then Patric goes to work on the mailing list that you’ve created with his free courses and products. All you have to do now is sit back and watch your affiliate commissions roll in. But is it that simple? Sounds like eating your cake and having it back.

How CB Passive Income Works

CB Passive Income 3 Step System

This program is divided into three stages including:

Step 1

After signing up, you will be directed to fill in your details on a form to create your landing page, which is dramatically called a secret page by Patric Chan. In reality, everybody that joins the program gets the same landing page, so there isn’t anything secretive or special about the page. The so-called secret page will carry your affiliate link which is what you will be promoting on behalf of Patric Chan. If you are not getting this straight, the implication of this is that you will be helping Patric to promote his digital products.

Step 2

Once the system generates your unique URL and web page with an affiliate link, the next step is to begin promoting the page with free and paid traffic. As you send traffic to the web page, people who decide to opt in will receive Patric’s gifts in return for their emails.

Now it becomes interesting. When people subscribe to the email list, Patric begins sending emails carrying your affiliate link to promote his paid products to the subscribers. However, the emails are all under Patric Chan’s name, not yours. He supports this action by claiming that he is trying to do you a favor as he is an accomplished name in the internet marketing environment. But how do you know the emails are truly carrying your affiliate link?

Step 3

Here, you will receive affiliate commissions whenever people buy the products from the emails carrying your affiliate link sent by Patric Chan.

Sounds like a great deal right? Yes, except that something extremely crucial is left out by Patric Chan. You know what it is? Traffic!

What’s Wrong With This Deal?
question

If you’ve ever tried making money online, you will understand that you can’t sell anything if you don’t have traffic. Traffic, as in targeted traffic audience who are willing and able to buy whatever you are promoting. Without traffic, you are dead on arrival. And that’s what Patric leaves out for you.

To get traffic that converts to the secret page Patric gave you when you signed up, you have to send paid traffic to the landing pages or create high-value content with the right keywords that rank in search engines to drive traffic to the squeeze pages.

Whether you chose to buy traffic or create content to promote your CB Passive Income affiliate links, you are likely to lose money both ways. While Patric Chan promised you don’t have to buy traffic or create content, this is exactly what you have to do if you ever want to make any affiliate commissions through this program.

How Much Does The Program Cost?
dollars

The CB Passive Income is offered in two packages;

The $47 per month and, The $97 onetime payment

In our opinion, the truth is that the monthly payment is meant to force you to buy the one-time plan. But it doesn’t end there.

The CB Passive Income comes with two upsells. Upsells are a shameful way of trying to force out more cash out of your customers, and this gimmick is common to marketers who sell crappy products. Any product worthy of its name should offer the buyer value. Nobody should have to buy an upsell before getting the value of what they just paid for. But that’s exactly what you get in the CB Passive Income program.

When you sign up for the program, you will be greeted with a $97 upsell that encourages you to upgrade to the CB Passive Income Pro Version. The Pro Version is supposed to give you access to your email list where it will be added to another list to help you double your earnings.

Then comes the Fast Cash Series which is an add-on that goes for a whopping $47 per month. The Fast Cash series is designed to teach you how to build WordPress themes from scratch. But this can become a problem if you don’t have a programming background and you may never be able to produce something profitable even if you can code considering the stiff competition in the WordPress themes market.

These upsells are designed to fleece you of cash. Imagine that you have to buy the upsell if you ever want to access the email list you spent your money to collect.

Training Materials
Online Training

When you sign up for the first time, you have access to a list of video tutorials. However, these videos were not produced by Patric Chan for the program; they are YouTube videos which he compiled for the course. So it’s the basic information you are getting.

There are some basic training videos for getting free traffic using Pinterest, Twitter, Forum Traffic, and Guest Blogging Traffic. For the paid traffic the main strategy being taught is to use Bing Ads.

Should You Buy this Program?

In our opinion, The CB Passive Income program raises too many red flags for it to be considered a worthy investment. Here are some reasons why, in our opinion, it is not a good buy.

It Doesn’t Provide Traffic

Patric Chan cleverly leaves out the hardest part of affiliate marketing for you; which is traffic. The program forces you to get paid traffic using Bing Ads to promote Patric Chan’s products. While it’s possible to use free traffic, it’s extremely difficult to convert free traffic unless you have a strong following on social media.

Patric Chan Owns the Email List

You see that email list you are toiling to build? Its owned by Patric because it was branded as his own and you are giving out his free products. How do you prove to people the list is yours when Patric’s name is all over the place?

Everyone Gets The Same Squeeze Page

With this, it’s hard to stand out of the maddening crowd of would-be internet gurus. Worst still, Google frowns at duplicated content, so the only way is down.

You Don’t Know The Content Of The Emails

How do you know the kind of products he is selling when he sends out emails to your list? You don’t know.

Is Your Affiliate Link Included In The Emails?
Link

You can’t be sure Patric isn’t substituting your affiliate links for his own when he sends out those emails. Are you sure you are getting the correct compensation you deserve for your efforts?

We can go on and on, but the point is that the CB Passive Income program doesn’t give you any control over “your” business. One would have thought that you should have unfettered access to an email list you took your time, money, and effort to build and also have your name in the emails sent to prospects. But that’s not the case with this program.

If you want a program that will help you earn money on the fly as an affiliate marketer, CB Passive Income isn’t that program. It’s expensive, doesn’t provide enough training, and in our opinion, is downright misleading.

  1. Great article! I don’t believe I have run across CB Passive Income before, but I have had several others that seem to run on this kind of scheme. I will definitely watch out for this!

    1. Hi Jimbo, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment.

Patric Chan has a good reputation in the online world and I have respect for him achieving what he has achieved however his CB Passive Income Program raised some red flags for us. I have first-hand experience with this program and don’t recommend this program to our readers.

  2. I’ve seen Patrick Chan’s CB Passive income before and did some research on it. Chan seems to be a honest marketer who genuinely wants to help people. I never joined CB Passive Income but I have no problem selling it as an affiliate. It’s a good program to sell as an affiliate and will appeal to many people. The website does an excellent job of selling the program . After reading this post, I’m sure I’m going to use this program as well to sell as an affiliate…

    1. Hi Howard, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment.

Howard, we DON’T recommend this program to our readers for the reasons stated in the article.

Also, I joined CB Passive Program more than 2 years ago and I am still a member. I spend a lot of money promoting this product. In the CB Passive Income platform, I can see I have 463 people who registered and all in all I made ONE sale. A lot of effort and money to make one sale! So, now I don’t promote the product.

In my opinion, there are better options online for people to make money and have full control of their business.
